Looking for an opportunity to learn more about the causes of rampant divisions multiplying on our campus and in the world at large through ground-breaking documentary films? Want a chance to hear from experts studying the root of what’s driving us apart and how we come back together? Eager to build the skills to listen empathetically, elicit narratives of connection, and interview professionally?
Then come join The Othering and Belonging Institute’s Campus Bridging Project and The Social Cohesion Lab (a production company focused on using media to build bridges across ideological divides), along with our collaborators and co-sponsors: The Greater Good Science Center, Berkeley Haas DEIJB and Berkeley Haas HBSA for a Depolarization Day on April 6th, 2024 from 10am-4pm in Chou Hall rm. N100.
This Depolarization Day will feature informative presentations, emotive documentary screenings which showcase depolarization in action, free lunch*, and practical activities which will foster the career and community skills of interview, empathy building and dialogue skills. We envision these skills sustaining students, across a wide breadth of fields and interests, throughout their academic lives and beyond.
